Intruiging aromatics, rich black stonefruit mingling with graphite, fine tobacco, and a savory minerality, Dead ringer for a Right-Bank Bordeaux. With exposure, this built-to-age blend unfolds dense layers of deep black-fruit flavors, with espresso and bittersweet cocoa lingering on a mouthwatering finish. A special and complex wine which, like a great conversation, continues to evolve... 912 cases produced.
2022 TASTING: Stunning. Deep, lush vibrant red-black-blue fruit, expressive aromatics, expansive mid-palate, long finish. Just beautiful at 10 minutes open. Still going strong... will age many more years.

Right-Bank blend of aromatic Atlas Peak cab franc and deep, intense Carneros merlot.
Intriguing black cherry and plum aromas, expansive midpalate of rich pomegranate molasses. Just a deliciously dangerous wine... TRULY a crowd pleaser delivered by a bumper crop of optimally ripe
fruit from the incredible 2012 vintage. And a fun label. UNFILTERED (pretty crystals on
the cork). Way outperforms expectation.
2023 edit: Just so good. No
wonder my neighbors drink a case every month. Highly versatile food
wine--seafood to short ribs. Or just relax and sip. I LOVE THIS WINE. Aging so well. Retailers won't carry a wine without critic's scores, my mistake not to send in after bottling, so it's your luck there's still inventory!
